Explore Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend

 

Enjoy luxury coach transportation from Grand Canyon South Rim, or Tusayan, Airzona to Page, Arizona for memorable tour of Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Overlook.  The original Navajo name Tsé bighánílíní means "the place where water runs through rocks."  Antelope Canyon's sculpted sandstone walls offer memorable photo opportunities with a walkable corridor at the bottom of the canyon floor. It was formed by flash flood waters that rushed into the cracks of the Navajo sandstone along with the power of wind erosion. With the daylight dancing through the narrow openings from the top provides multiple kinds of light reflections and colors. This amazing changing color show makes this area a popular destination for photographers and tourists. You will also visit an area where the Colorado River makes a 280 degree turn around the Horseshoe Bend shape of the rock. 

 

Lower Antelope Canyon

Upon arriving at Lower Antelope Canyon, meet your Navajo guide and take the short walk to the canyon’s entrance. Descend the a steep but safe, railing-lined stairway to the floor of Lower Antelope Canyon and set off on a journey to the upper end of this magnificent formation. Shafts of light often break through the narrow cracks above you as shadows dance on the walls, creating an infinitely varied landscape that’s perfect for photos.

 

Horseshoe Bend Overlook
Enjoy a spectacular view 1000 feet above the mighty Colorado River, as it turns in a U-shape curve at the bottom of the Glen Canyon. This has become on of the most sought after photo stops anywhere.  The visit requires a 1.5 mile roundtrip (2.4 km) walk on a fairly flat, dirt/gravel path.

• Morning departure from Grand Canyon/Tusayan area
• Arrive Page, visit Horseshoe Bend Overlook
• Visit Lower Antelope to enjoy a walking tour with your
  Navajo Guide
• Stop at Lee's Ferry on the Colorado River
• Visit Cameron Trading Post on the Navajo Reservation
• Stop at Lipan Point for sweeping views of the Eastern Grand Canyon
• Return to Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim or Tusayan, Arizona

Our tours will operate year-round, throughout seasonal weather.  If roads are closed due to weather or other conditions that prohibit us from entering an area of the tour, we will do our best to provide the best route and/or alternate locations and timing to be able to continue to provide the best tour possible.  If it is not possible to provide a planned inclusion of the tour with an admission cost, a partial refund will be offered to the guests, minus a processing fee.  If the tour still takes place with a portion of the planned itinerary, guests will not receive a refund, other than from excluded admissions.  Any decision to close Antelope Canyon due to weather comes from the Antelope Canyon operators and/or Navajo Parks and Recreation.  National Park Express has no control over these closures. If our day tour guests are unable to be admitted to Antelope Canyon, the tour will still include Horseshoe Bend Overlook, and viewing Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell; in such a case, a portion of the tour, equal to the Antelope Canyon admission minus a processing fee, will be refunded to our travelers. 

 

Antelope Canyon tours and tickets are non-refundable.
