Verde Canyon Rail Day Adventure From Scottsdale or Phoenix
Guests will get picked up in their hotel lobby at 6 am the morning of the tour. From here we will travel deep into the famous Verde valley to our first stop at Montezuma Castle. This wonderous Native American delight is one of the most highly preserved monuments in the USA. We will spend 40 minutes here and let you walk the grounds of this relic and learn rich history.
From here we will head to the second monument of Tuzigoot. This was constructed by the same local Sinagua Tribe as Montezuma Castle. We will spend another 40 minutes here and let you walk around the grounds of the over 40 room fortress. Later on, we will head to the historic copper mining town of Jerome, AZ. Once in this town, you can gaze upon the spectacular views of the Verde valley down below. Also, here you can walk around and see a town highly preserved to its heyday of mining in the 1920s. We will spend an hour at this locale.
Lastly, we will take you to the depot for our last stop and GRAND FINALE! This would be the historic Arizona rail, The Verde Valley Railroad. We will help you board at 1 pm, this iconic sightseeing train in FIRST CLASS! From the luxury of first-class you will have included champagne, and a sandwich and a chicken wing bar. The 3.5 train ride is so enjoyable for the red rock sights and local history shared by the narrator. Also, mines and Native American ruins will be present along the ride. Upon your return, at around 4:30 to 4:45 pm we will head straight back to your hotel. The admission for both Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot have included as well as a first-class train ticket on the Verde Canyon Railroad.
